Dr. Fawaz H. Zu’bi founder & CEO at Accelerator Technology Holdings, served as the Minister of Information and Communications Technology in the government of HE Prime Minister Ali Abu Al Ragheb. Assigned to the post of Minister of Post and Communications in June 17th 2000, Dr. Zu’bi successfully migrated that institution into Jordan’s e-Ministry on April 7, 2002, with the mission of driving Jordan’s participation in the global knowledge economy, as per the vision of His Majesty King Abdullah II. The new ministry’s objectives included preparing for full liberalization of the telecommunications sector by 2005, planning and coordinating e-government efforts in Jordan, bridging the digital divide among its citizens, improving the investment environment in the ICT sector and privatizing Jordan’s postal sector.

Dr. Zu’bi also served as a member of the Economic Consultative Council (ECC), having been appointed by His Majesty King Abdullah in 1999. His participation on the Council included membership of the ECC Task Force for the Integrated Development of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ), membership of three ECC Task Forces on issues including Irrigated Agriculture, Water and Culture.

Dr. Zu’bi is founder and owner of Adritec Group International, E.C., a Bahrain registered holding company (with paid-up capital of US $ 6 million) that manages and operates a group of privately held subsidiaries in Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria, and Greece. First established in 1981 in Jordan, Adritec grew to become the largest manufacturer of modern drip irrigation systems and irrigation technical services in the Middle East and North Africa. The company exports to over 25 markets in the region, in Europe, South America and Asia.

Dr. Zu’bi is a founding member of the Jordan Trade Association and the Jordan Quality Association. He is also a founding member of the Young Entrepreneurs Association and a director of its board.

Born in Amman in 1956, Dr. Zu’bi is married with two children. He graduated in 1982 with a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering and Physics from Duke University, North Carolina, USA.
