Santiago Cortés is the Managing Director and Vice President, Technology Solutions Group (TSG), HP Middle East, Mediterranean and Africa (MEMA). In this role he drives the TSG business for HP’s MEMA region, which covers 71 countries, and leads the regional management team.

Prior to this role, Cortés was leading HP’s Spain and Portugal (Iberia) business for seven years, and before was General Manager of Compaq Spain for five years. Under his leadership HP became the leading IT company in the region.

Santiago successfully managed the HP and Compaq integration in Spain and Portugal, establishing HP as the number one IT company in the region, growing always over the market rates and consolidating a very strong operation.

Santiago was Compaq Spain General Manager from 1997 to 2002. During this period, he successfully managed the Compaq, Digital and Tandem integrations in Spain.

From 1995 to 1997, Santiago Cortés was General Manager of the Systems Business Unit at Digital Equipment Corporation in Spain.

After working three years as professor at the University Complutense of Madrid, Santiago initiated his professional career in Hewlett-Packard in 1980, where he held various positions in Marketing, Sales and Management.

He holds a Master in Business Administration from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and a Master in Mass Media Communication from the same University
